So C wanted to have a date night on Saturday. He was lobbing pretty hard for actually going out but couldn't come up with any ideas on where to go. I having just come home from work (yes I was working on Saturday) and cooking dinner could very happily stayed in all evening. Well after a small amount of frustration we decided we would have a date night in.
Out came the blockbuster rental we had, which was all in all an okay movie. I can't remember the name of it. Which isn't saying anything at all about the movie. I am horrible with names of movies and actors in general. I figure this is mostly because movies just don't play that big of a role in my life. I am not a movie buff. I watch movies because that is what C puts in the DVD player, or manages to convince me to go see. Okay I went off on a tangent. Anyway movie in the player a sci-fi flick with Keanu Reeves. That's about all the more specific we can be at this point.
I might not be a movie buff, so in my mind the best part of a movie is the popcorn. I love popcorn in most variations, so out came the air popper before the movie, and we made popcorn. I asked DH what flavor he wanted and he said "cinnamon-sugar?" pretty hesitantly. I think he just named a flavor off the top of his head, and being after dinner he wanted something desert like. It turned out really well. We popped the corn, used my little oil sprayer with some melted butter to get a nice even but light coat of butter on the pop corn and sprinkled cinnamon sugar over the whole bowl until everything was nice and coated.
It wasn't the neatest thing to eat but it went fast. It was amazing, tasted just like cinnamon toast. This is something we'll be making again. I was going to take a picture for your visual consumption but we ate it too fast.
